Aceh Farmers Delighted to Receive Additional Subsidized Fertilizer, Cut Huzaimah: A Special Gift in the Ramadan Month Awaiting Eid al-Fitr

Aceh - This year, the Aceh Provincial Government has received an additional allocations of subsidized fertilizer of up to 100%. The addition is the result of the IDR 28 trillion allocations that the Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman fought for a few days ago.

Head of Department of Agriculture and Plantation of Aceh Province, Cut Huzaimah, said that the additional includes 14,643 tons of organic fertilizer from the previous non-existent, then an additional 100,364 tons of urea fertilizer from the previous 58,716 tons or an increase of 63.09%.

As for NPK fertilizers, the increase reached 68.13%, from 44,027 tons to 94,121 tons. As for special NPK fertilizers, the increase reached 87.39%, from 580 tons to 4,022 tons.

“On behalf of the people of Aceh, especially for the farmers and planters, we would like to thank the Minister of Agriculture for this additional quota of subsidized fertilizer for the farmers in Aceh,” said Huzaimah, Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Huzaimah said that these additional fertilizers are a special gift for all the farmers who are currently fasting and looking forward to the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

They were delighted that heading into this year's planting season, they no longer had to worry about the availability of fertilizers.

“Farmers are happy, delighted and full of emotion, because in this blessed month, Mr. Minister proves his sincerity to fight for farmers.”

“Moreover, we are given additional organic fertilizers which can restore the soil properties, both chemically, physically and biologically.”

“Once again, this is good news that has been greatly expected by the farmers in Aceh in an effort to increase production,” he explained.

Previously, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman symbolically handed over an additional allocation of subsidized fertilizers for all the farmers throughout Indonesia with the amount of IDR 28 trillion.

Minister of Agriculture said, this additions is a follow-up to the results of various briefings and limited meetings with President Joko Widodo and also other Ministers, such as Sri Mulyani.

As a result, the fertilizer allocation of 9.55 million tons was officially decided through the Minister of Finance Letter No. S-297/MK.02.2024.
