After Being Trained in Ginger Agribusiness Training, Dozens of Agricultural Counselors Are Ready to Create Business Opportunities

NATC Batangkaluku - After providing training for Agricultural Counselors for 7 (seven) days, the Ministry of Agriculture's ITU under the Agricultural Counseling and Human Resources Development Agency (ACHRDA), the National Agricultural Training Center (NATC) of Batangkaluku closed the Ginger Agribusiness Training for Agricultural Counselors, Monday (06/05/2024).

On a separate occasion, the Head of ACHRDA, Dedi Nursyamsi, said that the general objectives of BPPSDMP are the establishment of agricultural human resources that are professional, independent, competitive and have an entrepreneurial spirit to realize the welfare of the farmers.

"What is equally important is the agricultural human resources to be the leverages of productivity and the leverages of production through technological innovation.

"And how to make sure that the technological innovations are actually implemented by all agricultural personnel, practitioners, agricultural entrepreneurs. That is the most important thing," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Head of BBPP Batangkaluku, represented by the Team Leader of Apparatus and Non-Apparatus Training, Hari Ismanto, when closing the training revealed that all participants had gained a lot of knowledge related to ginger plants, ranging from cultivation, treatment, post-harvest, product processing, marketing, to the farm business analysis.

"Agricultural Counselors are able to receive and absorb all the learning materials, from upstream to downstream, not only cultivation but also marketing," he said.

Hari Ismanto explained that nowadays there are a lot of drinks that have bad effects on health, while Indonesia has so many varieties of spices, including ginger, which has many benefits for health.

"Ginger and jamu (traditional herbal-based medicines) are the nation's identity that must be preserved. The hope is clear, the knowledge that has been obtained can be implemented, applied, and disseminated, especially to the farmers," he hoped.

Meanwhile, according to one of the training participants, Syarif Ahayu said that before attending the training, most people looked down on ginger plants. But after taking part in the training, it turns out that the ginger plant can be an economic source.

"Our vision and mission is to promote ginger plants in each of our communities so that raw materials for ginger can be available," he said.

Syarif Ahayu in his impression and message also expressed his gratitude to BBPP Batangkaluku for facilitating the Counselors in the form of the agribusiness training of ginger plants.

The activity, which opened on 30/04/2024, was attended by 60 participants consisting of 2 batches, with 30 people each batch. The participants came from all provinces in Sulawesi.
